A: Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University seeks authorization or exemption in U.S. states and territories in compliance with federal and state regulation that govern offering online educational programs. A: You may transfer up to 90 credits based on your prior education experience in your associate’s degree program. You may transfer courses that are equal in content to those offered at FranU College to cover core curriculum and elective requirements. Transfer credits for courses from other accredited institutions and credit-by-examination will be accepted according to FranU policy.
Q: Can I choose whether to attend full or part time and how long will it take to complete my degree?
A: Twenty-four hours of RN to BSN courses must be completed at FranU. Each online course is eight weeks in length with 6 start dates offered annually. Full-time students take two courses at a time and complete their degree in 12 months. Part-time students generally take one course at a time and can complete their degree in 24 months.
Q: How computer literate do I need to be?
A: You will need to be familiar with basic computer programs, such as word processing, presentation software, and email applications. You attend class by logging in and accessing course materials through an internet capable device such as a computer, smartphone or tablet. Lectures, books, and other materials are accessed online where you can read, listen to or watch them. Comprehensive and personalized online support is available through your dedicated Student Success Advisor and support staff at the Technology Services Center.
Q: What is the tuition rate for the RN to BSN Program?
A: Our Lady of the Lake College makes nursing education affordable through a competitive tuition rate and by allowing you to transfer up to 96 credits. In all, 24 credits must be taken at FranU in order to reach the total RN to BSN program requirements of 120 credit hours. The total cost of core nursing coursework is $12,205.92.*
